Tim O’Rourke is a nationally recognized private investigator and president of The Grafton Group, a premiere investigative firm headquartered in Tampa, FL. With more than 30 years of experience in the industry, Tim is frequently in demand as a public speaker. He has expertise in all topics relevant to private investigators and knows how they work and what is involved. He is always eager to share his experiences in order to help other investigators in their work.

Recently, Tim was a featured speaker at the World Investigators Conference (WIC) where he discussed counter-surveillance and competitive intelligence. He was also called on to speak in Florida at the FALI Conference for private investigators to discuss pending legislation in Florida and Washington D.C. Whenever he can work it into his busy schedule, he is available as a public speaker to other associations or organizations interested in his vast private investigating experience.

In addition to his multiple speaking engagements, O’Rourke has been interviewed on radio programs well-known to those involved in the field of private investigation. For example, he appeared on VoiceAmerica’s “PIs Declassified” with Francie Koehler as part of her “Pillars in Leadership” series. Koehler is herself a California PI. He has also appeared on American P.I. with host Paul Jaeb discussing whether there is currently a “Golden Age” for private investigators.

Tim is dedicated to his craft and has a long history of involvement with organizations designed to benefit and advance the private investigator profession. He has been the President of the Florida Association of Licensed Investigators (FALI) since 2010-16. FALI is the third largest PI association in the U.S. and under Tim’s leadership, the association has doubled its membership. It is on track to move into the position of second largest statewide PI association in the United States.

Tim has been called on to work with the state on many different levels. In 2003, he was specially selected to serve on the State Training Committee to develop a Terrorist Awareness Program by Director John Russi. He was later appointed by the Florida Commissioner as an advisor to the regulatory body which oversees investigators. He served in that position for 2-terms from 2005 to 2013. Through the years, he has served in various roles for many other entities.

O’Rourke is a member of the National Council of Investigation and Security Services (NCISS) and the World Association of Detectives (WAD) as well as maintaining memberships in many state association for investigators.
